Teach children to tie their shoes, this is the most basic of knots and a life skill children are not learning how to do anymore.

several plates and wool

Instructions

Demonstrate how to tie a shoe. Allow practice time. Over time, as children get better, relay races can be done

using paper plates put 2 holes in the middle of the plate 1cm apart and thread wool through making sure there is enough to be able to tie a bow.
