1 night Backwoods Camp in woodland, cooking over open fire and sleeping under bivouacs built by scouts.

Resources

tarpaulins, or bivouacs (Bivvies), or old military ponchos. Rope or strong string, 2 or 3 tent pegs person, Bungees (usefull but not essential) Food for evening meal & breakfast, some woodland where you are allowed a small fire.

Instructions

Build a bivvy (shelter) cook your tea/breakfast over an open fire
Ideal opportunity to practice/teach fire lighting techniques
health and safety + first aid
menu planning and camp fire cooking
