Use their knots to make a teddy swing

Resources

50cm of rope for each Beaver (rope is better than string for being able to see the knot)

Instructions

Each lodge has a leader to demonstrate knot and explain uses. Beavers each try with the rope.

Notes - Different uses of knots: tying rope together, securing something to an object, stopping rope from passing through. Should note that reef knot is not a strong knot and should not be used for safety critical uses/loads. Knots used in many different activities, eg: sailing, mountaineering, fishing, around the home. Important features of knots: how easy they are to do up and undo, how reliable are they.
