Cubs use clues to find words in a dictionary. Use initial letters to make the name Samuel Johnson (writer of the dictionary)

Dictionaries, preprepared questions, paper, pencils

Instructions

Give each six a dictionary and a set of questions. the cubs must then use the dictionary to help them find the answers. When all answers have been found they should end up with the name Samuel Johnson. The questions/clues should be simple enough for the cubs to be able to guess at the answers before using the dictinary
